YOUR PAPER MOMENT
All four corners to the centre
Get your paper ready.
Take a square sheet and lay it on the table. If one side is coloured, keep it face down.
If you have done “A corner to the centre”, this exercise picks up from there.
All the steps as text
Fold each corner to the centre, one at a time. You practise precision and learn a base that many models use.
Get your paper ready.

If you have done “A corner to the centre”, this exercise picks up from there.
Find the centre of the paper.
The centre is halfway between all four sides. All four corners will meet there.
For more precision, crease both diagonals first: the centre is where they cross.
Bring the bottom-right corner to the centre.
Fold the bottom-right point to the centre. The line runs from the middle of the right side to the middle of the bottom side.
Press the new edge with your fingernail before moving on.
Now the bottom-left corner.
Fold the bottom-left point to the centre. Its edge sits next to the previous flap without overlapping it.
If the flaps overlap, open the last one and adjust it.
Next, the top-left corner.
Fold the top-left point to the centre, next to the other two.
The points touch in the centre but don't cover each other.
Finish with the top-right corner.
Fold the last point to the centre. All four points meet at the same spot.
Check that the four edges of the new square are straight.
A smaller square.
You have a turned square with four triangles meeting in the centre. Many models start from this base.
Perfection isn't the point. If the points don't quite meet, keep practising.
